Basically since PS3 generation games will fully install on the consoles onboard storage, and the disc is then only used as an 'access key' essentially, just like a PC. So in case anyone was wondering, no the PS5 disc edition wont benefit from any extra storage as no data is streaming from the disc during gameplay. Edit: typo!
